September Link Love
2012
Another month is on it’s way. It’s been a great one. As the weather has been (finally!) getting cooler we’ve enjoyed some yummy comforting food and longer family walks. I really love Fall.
I’ve also been experimenting on some new non-toxic person care stuff. And the hubs apparently has been trying some of it out. I know he’s dreamy. But he’s all mine. ;)
Check out my guest post to get the recipe for this awesome avocado butter mask over at DIYNatural!
Here are some of my favorite reads from this past month:
First, let’s talk about the food:
Things like these yummy whole grain crepes from Nourishing Joy make me smile.
Jenny at Nourished Kitchen has a delicious potato and artichoke gratin. Yum!
Homemade “Mounds” Candy from The Coconut Mama… hello, delicious candy. :)
Homemade fruit leather from Gutsy. I am so doing this. I know C will love it.
And I’m still dying over this bread pudding recipe from the Mommypotamus.
I love anything thing about non-toxic living:
Love this “junk your bathroom” challenge from the Polvika Family. So liberating to get rid of all the “stuff” that only harms on our body.
This is an easy non-toxic homemade cleaner by Actual Organics. If you are still using store bought stuff, stop! It’s so easy to make your own.
Learn the benefits of beeswax candles from Empowered Sustenance. So cool.
Finally, some interesting reads:
Butter Believer writes an excellent post on why skim milk isn’t good for you. Love, love, love.
Mama Natural provides 6 tips to kick sugar. This is a great challenge going into the holiday season.
Why it’s Ethical to Eat Meat - a great read from Fearless Eating.
Why I use extra virgin coconut oil from Kelly the Kitchen Kop. Love my coconut oil.
Honest to Goodness Living tells the secret on how to battle stretch marks. Awesome!
Is autism an autoimmune disorder? This is a really insightful read from Real Food Forager.
Be sure to follow Thank Your Body on both Facebook and Pinterest. I love sharing the good things I find with you!
